PacPrint13: Canon Australia

This will be the first Australian show at which Océ sits under the Canon Professional Print brand since the acquisition in 2010.

The stand will feature variable data printing, finishing and web-to-print solutions. Canon’s range of cut-sheet equipment will include the ImagePress C7010VPS with the new BLM300C square-fold bookletmaker from SDD and the VarioPrint DP Line 135 with SDD square-fold finisher. Both machines also come with a PrismaSync controller. The stand will also feature the ImageRunner Advance colour light production system.

Canon will be exhibiting the new PrismaAccess 5.3, a web-to-print solution that ties together the entire digital production cycle, shortens turnaround times and allows printers to take on new customers. It will also display Prisma-Prepare 6.1, a tool that bridges the gap between digital and offset makeready; PrismaDrive, a planning and load-balancing solution designed to make digital printing more efficient; and PrismaArchive, an automated archiving solution for commercial printers.

The Canon stand will also include Océ-branded products such as the Arizona 400-series UV flatbed printer and ProCut digital cutter combination, which will be making its Australasian debut at PacPrint.

The package is optimally suited to a multitude of applications, including signage, backlits, point-of-sale, interiors, glass printing, packaging, prototyping and exhibition graphics.

Released at the end of 2012, the Arizona 400 series can print varnish for spot and flood decorative applications and can handle double-opacity white-ink printing. The new machine features double the nozzle density in cyan and magenta for smooth production printing. Using the new Production-Squared mode gives a 25% speed increase.

Océ has recently released the EngView Package Designer suite in Australia. It includes more than 1,500 parametric templates to help produce prototypes, packaging and POS applications.
