PacPrint13 forums to ‘spark ideas for future success’

The forums, themed 'An Industry in Transition', will focus on leadership, emerging trends and adapting to the future.

The chief executive of the Printing Industries Association of Australia (PIAA), Bill Healey, said the educational component of PacPrint was an important part of the show.

"Print and graphic communications is in the middle of a period of unprecedented change and, in order to chart a course for success, it’s important for business owners to have as clear a view as possible of where that future is leading," he said.

PacPrint will be held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 21-25 May. The 90-minute forums will be held on 22, 23 and 24 May, and will be led by Healey, ProPrint contributor Steve Crowe and the PIAA's training boss, Joan Grace. The speakers list will be finalised in 2013.

PacPrint chairman Ian Martin said the show would be "characterised by ideas and innovation".

"The forum series adds enormous value for visitors, enabling them to access thought-leaders and experts who can spark ideas, confirm trends and suggest directions for future success," he said.

"It’s the ideal complement to the exhibition itself, where those ideas and inspirations can be translated into action with careful planning and investment decisions."
