Paperlinx “streamlines” management team

David Shirer, executive general manager of corporate affairs, and current CFO Mark Hooper (pictured) will both leave the company over the next month. Their departure has prompted the company to “further streamline” its head office, the company said in a statement.

Kennedy, who is currently CFO of Paperlinx North America, will relocate to Melbourne to take charge as Group CFO, where he will report to managing director Tom Park effective 26 August.

“Tony has significant experience both in finance and across PaperlinX, and has done an outstanding job of managing the financial operations of our North American business, with particular success around working capital and cashflow management,” the company said in a statement.

Wayne Johnston has in turn been promoted to deputy CFO. Company secretary James Orr will handle Shirer’s former position as executive general manager of corporate affairs in addition to his current responsibilities.
