Perth printers test drive Curries’ CTP and bindery kit

The Currie Colour Express truck (pictured) made the 3,500km drive from Melbourne to demonstrate pre-press and finishing products to potential customers.

Managing director Bernie Robertson said that a Chinese-made Cron platesetter is on display as well as finishing equipment from Horizon and other manufacturers.

“Everyone thinks that the truck is a great idea. It gives customers around Australia the opportunity to see machines in action without having to travel great distances,” he said.

“We had eight customers through on Tuesday and sold four bits of equipment and we had seven customers come through yesterday before lunchtime. We had a really positive day yesterday, with customers returning today for test runs. We’re expecting about 16, but anyone is welcome to pop by. We’re here until 5.30.”

The show is being held outside Currie’s state office in Osborne Park.
