PMP could lose Foxtel mag contract

PMP is likely to lose another major magazine contract after Foxtel switched its publishing agency to an IPMG-aligned rival.

The pay-TV giant yesterday dumped Bauer Media, long-time publisher of the 80-page, 347,660 circulation monthly magazine, for which PMP holds the print contract.

Foxtel is the second Bauer contract to be poached by upstart agency Medium Rare this year, following the Qantas in-flight magazine in March.

Medium Rare then switched the Qantas print job from July to IPMG, which already prints the publisher’s Coles Magazine through its Sydney company Hannanprint.

It is the third major magazine contract Medium Rare founder Gerry Reynolds has snatched from his former employer Bauer, with PMP standing to lose more work if the client poaching continues.

The Foxtel magazine includes interviews with industry figures, behind-the-scenes insights, photo shoots, entertainment features, and detailed daily TV listings.
