PMP expands packaging design with EskoArtwork tools

The commercial print giant’s pre-press division, PMP Digital, has installed a bevy of tools from the Belgium-based software developer.

PMP described the Esko software as the “best-in-market technology solution for packaging”, saying that it will extend its capabilities across the entire packaging market.

Justin Davies, national manager at PMP Digital, said each Esko product has its own significant value.

“EskoArtwork’s online collaboration tool, WebCenter, enables us to join all parties in the workflow together, so everyone has complete visibility upstream and downstream,” he said.

“This sharing of knowledge enables smart planning.

“If people can see what’s going to happen, they can optimise their stock levels. File transfers and approval processes are also simplified, making life much easier for the client.”

Davies noted that EskoArtwork’s 3D studio will enable PMP designers to work in a full 3D environment, cutting down on errors and wasted time.

PMP Digital has invested in a total of eight EskoArtwork products, which will run in conjunction with its retail, corporate and advertising support software, DMarketer.

PMP Digital offers pre-press services to blue-chip clients such as Coles Liquor, Big W and Amcor.
