PMP promotes new GM for WA as Clyne heads to News Ltd

Willis was previously employed as NSW state manager for commercial sales at PMP Print.

The company said it engaged in an “executive search both within Australia and overseas” before deciding on Willis.

PMP executive general manager Andrew Williams said he was pleased with the appointment and called Willis a “clear leader”.

“Clinton is a perfect fit for this role with a strong senior management background in print and the commercial profile to allow us to grow our Western Australian market,” Williams said.

PMP said that there had been great deal of interest in the position from across the industry and that competition was high.

Chief executive Richard Allely revealed last November that the print group had “earmarked some cap ex” to purchase another press for its Perth site to enhance catalogue printing.

Meanwhile, PMP has also announced it will host an inaugural marketing conference.

The company said its ‘Schmart’ Marketing Conference, on 4 April in Melbourne and 6 April in Sydney, will bring together a host of international and national experts to discuss marketing strategy.

It is new territory for PMP, which “recognises the need to align all components in multi-channel marketing”.
