Positive Camtec wants lucky 13th Nyala sale

This is the first time a Nyala of this size has been demonstrated in Australia. The machine will operate throughout PacPrint on the stand of dealer Positive Camtec.

One of the Nyala’s key features is its split vacuum system, which allows printers to load sheets and print simultaneously, said Positive Camtec sales & marketing manager Adriano Gut.

Tests have shown that printers gain a 37% productivity boost by eliminating idle time, he told the PacPrint Daily.

The Nyala can reach a maximum speed of 200m2 per hour. Its nine different ink channels can take white ink and effect varnishes. It can also handle primer for printing on glass and can produce readable four-point text at 30m2 per hour, said Gut.

He said PacPrint visitors had been impressed by the Nyala’s speed and versatility.

“The printer is really attractive to screen printers, any kind of sign and display printers and people that  want to combine traditional printing with large-format printing,” he said.

The 3.2m Nyala was launched at Drupa in May 2012. Clarke Murphy Print took delivery of the first Australian machine in June 2012, and has since installed a second, said Gut. A total of 12 Nyalas have been sold in Australia and more than 350 around the world.
