Pressnet sells 13 products to one customer

The company’s principal, Charles Scandrett, revealed that Australia-wide letterbox distribution organisation, Mailpost had signed the mammoth order, comprising three four-colour Hans Gronhi B3 format presses, three HBN guillotines, three Magna Folders, a CYS 494 Petratto Piccolo press-stacker and three Colenta thermal chemical free CtP units.

The Gronhi 524 being demonstrated on the Pressnet stand is cited as being the lowest cost high speed four-colour press at PacPrint, with an installed price of $270,000, which includes the normal warranty.

At the same time, Scandrett indicated that a trend was emerging whereby medium size and even smaller printers are being attracted to the Pressnet-distributed KAS Mailmaster style of envelope insertion, sheet collection folding machine to enable them to provide their customers with the mailing end component to their sheetfed output.

“Savvy printers have been doing this for some time,” he pointed out.

The company’s multi-national offerings are sourced from a geography-lesson list of manufacturing centres including Italy, the USA, Japan, Korea, China, Germany and India which, according to Scandrett, is the source for the world’s best coaters.

While this is Pressnet’s first PacPrint, the strong style of enquiries being fielded on its stand makes it unlikely to be the last.
