Presstek appoints Cyber for DI range

“We are pleased to be partnering with Cyber in the Asia Pacific region, an area of growing importance for Presstek’s business,” said Tim Sawyer, Presstek’s director of sales for the Asia Pacific. “Cyber is well-respected in the region and ideally suited to market Presstek DI presses to its large and growing customer base.”

Cyber will also handle the DI presses in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

“We are thrilled to add Presstek’s family of DI digital offset presses to our product mix,” said Cyber chairman Herbert Cheong. “Just as Presstek DI presses are bringing great success to print providers in North America and Europe, we believe they will be extremely attractive in the Asia Pacific region where printers are facing the same challenge of delivering increased quality in affordable shorter run lengths with compressed delivery times.”

The 52DI and 34DI presses are capable of printing on substrates from 0.06mm to 0.5mm thick, with the 52cm-wide 52DI (pictured) offering a maximum sheet size of 520x375mm and producing up to 20,000 letter-size pages per hour. The 34DI, meanwhile, has a maximum sheet size of 340x 460mm and produces up to 14,000 letter-size pages per hour.
