Printers win big at catalogue awards

Access Print Solutions, Acorn Press, AIW, Bambra Press, Blueprint Australia, Franklin, IPMG, Lighthouse Print Group, PMP, and Spectrum Print all won awards at the Australasian Catalogue Association (ACA) Awards.

The ACA hosted its 25th Annual ACA Awards last Friday night at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne with printers, retailers, creatives, agencies and distributors comprising the record 722 guests who attended.

Radio personality Dave Thornton served as Master of Ceremonies and entertained the crowd throughout the night which saw awards handed out in 47 different categories.

Commenting on the glittering night, ACA CEO Kellie Northwood says, “These awards are a true celebration of our collective industries. I strongly believe one of the reasons the catalogue and letterbox marketing industries are so resilient and vibrant is because of the entire industry community from retailers and agencies to printers and distributors – the industry works as one and celebrates together.

“With an audience reach higher than any other media channel at 19.8m and readership at 77 per cent Australian and New Zealand consumers love catalogues. The humble catalogue remains entirely relevant, and stable circulation volumes demonstrate that.”

There are seven main print groups producing large volume catalogues for Australia and New Zealand, however the trend has seen commercial printers entering shorter run catalogues that are either distributed by addressed mail or as newspaper inserts.
