PrintEx19 forums a crystal ball for printers

PrintEx19 organisers know predicting the future, especially in the printing and graphic communication sector, can be difficult so with that in mind the PrintEx Forum Series will again feature at this year’s trade show.

Each day of the August 13 to 16 event will begin with a Breakfast Keynote Session followed by a program featuring a mix of presentations including interviews, expert masterclasses, panel discussions and hands-on workshops.

The sessions will all be run a stone’s throw from the exhibition floor which organisers say will feature a comprehensive display of technology, products and services across 6000m2 at the Sydney Showground at Sydney Olympic Park.

Organisers say the terms ‘disruption’ and ‘transformation’ are now commonplace across the graphic communications spectrum – print, sign, display, engraving, label and packaging –  with many business owners wondering which way to go to gain a competitive edge.

PrintEx19 which is co-locating with Label & Packaging Expo and Visual Impact Sydney aims to help visitors get a handle on the trends and technologies which are shaping the future.

“In such a dynamic sector, making even short-term plans can be a challenge – it’s necessary in order to grow and develop a business, but it’s risky; making the wrong move can be both damaging and expensive,” Peter Harper, CEO of PrintEx organiser and co-host, Visual Connections, said.

“With the PrintEx Forum Series, we bring together the experts to talk about likely future directions and present the key issues which are driving change and impacting on the products and services we offer. This will help give PrintEx visitors the information they need to get ahead of the trends.”

Harper says the PrintEx Forum Series complements perfectly with the technology showcase that will be taking place.

“As well as gaining valuable context from the Forums, the exhibition allows visitors to see products and applications in person and speak directly to product experts about their own business requirements, so that they can gauge the potential of specific investments to meet their individual needs,” Harper said.

Harper says with the world becoming increasingly time-poor, business owners and decision makers need to be sure their time investment at the show delivery a real return on investment.

“Evidence in terms of business transacted and both exhibitor and visitor feedback from PrintEx, PacPrint, Visual Impact and international shows like drupa consistently demonstrate that ROI; in fact, I would argue that they have never been more relevant or more valuable<” Harper said.

“PrintEx 19 will be no exception, giving the industry’s decision-makers a unique opportunity to gather the foresight, insight and inspiration they need to grow and strengthen their businesses into the future.”

PrintEx 19 is co-hosted by Printing Industries and Visual Connections and will be held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, from 13 – 16 August, 2019.
