Realview Partica helping printers become content marketers

Digital platform provider, Realview is set to launch its new mobile digital publishing platform, Partica, which it says can provide printers with a new service to offer customers. With more people now using a mobile/tablet device to browse content rather than via desktop, Realview began designing a digital content platform specifically for mobile to cater to this market. The company has perfected the technology over the past 18 months and is ready to launch it later this month. Realview CEO Richard Lindley says printers and publishers can become ‘content marketing specialists’ with Partica.

New: Realview’s Partica technology

He explains, “From a printer’s perspective, one of the limitations they face comes from not putting a value on a digital edition of print work, which is a bad thing. “When a customer says they are not going to print their product anymore, with Partica technology, the printer can become a content marketer and can turn around and say, ‘We can help you distribute this work online instead’. “Suddenly the customer is more invested in the printer because they are helping with the other side of their business. The customer is more invested because the printer can help them with the digital solution as well.” Partica has been described as, ‘publishing re-imagined, re-invented and re-distributed’. Lindley says this was achieved this by creating technology which breaks down the print version into components enabling it to redeploy in different versions on mobile. Before the technology, Lindley says an array of digital platforms would be needed for different devices. He says Partica brings this together onto one platform which allows for simple, easy-to-use content viewing on mobile/tablet. He says Partica was developed with printers and publishers in mind to give them flexibility, as people’s content consumption habits are constantly changing. He notes, “Facebook, Google, Snapchat and Apple are all offering an article based viewing platform. We are seeing a trend of people moving away from consuming a whole magazine, to only snacking on specific content or articles they are interested in.” Realview’s Partica will be made available later this month. Printers interested in the technology can contact Realview to discuss a partnership arrangement.
