Rima Systems arms users with robo-helper

That applies also to palletising, although this is still done manually in many printing and finishing companies. To change that, the company Rima presented at its stand palletizing robot for different requirements.

The newest member of the family of one-armed assistants is the model RS 500, which, depending on the product, can achieve up to 2,000 cycles per hour. The four-axis robot accepts loose or strapped bundles from an accumulation conveyor and deposits them according to a pre-defined pattern precisely on a pallet.

It can also cope with several bundles in a row. Rima has equipped the new robot for optimal bundle operation. It can also be equipped with an automatic slip sheet feeder and an automatic pallet dispenser; the robots are used in pressroom, bindery and mailroom.
