Streamline Press installs new Agfa platesetter

The Fitzroy, Victoria-based company upped it capabilities by 45 Goss Community plates per hour with the device, which has been installed alongside an Agfa VPP68 processor.

The new kit joins an existing Polaris CTP at the print shop.

Agfa Oceania newspaper manager, Steve Marshall, told ProPrint: “Streamline has already got an existing machine. This one is complementary to the original CTP.

“They wanted some back-up and this machine gives them additional throughput capacity,” added Marshall.

Marshall said Agfa had released the platesetter to the Australian market around six months ago and the Streamline install was part of a wider nationwide push.

Streamline also upgraded its existing Arkitex workflow to include a second NewsDrive, enabling plates to be directed to either of the output devices.
