Tolerans introduces faster and smaller in-line stitchers at drupa

At drupa 2008, Tolerans is introducing a stitcher made for extremely high production speed and maximum production reliability, and a second stitcher, designed with extremely compact dimensions.

The new high speed stitchers have been developed to meet the increasing demands, especially from commercial printers, to enable production at full press speed 24/7 all year around. The new high speed stitcher, Speedliner Commercial is based on the successful Speedliner design.

Tolerans has also developed a smaller sized stitcher, SpeedlinerAnywhere, which can be installed where it was previously not possible. This new stitcher will be appreciated by those printers with limited access and space in the folder and for the printer who now can avoid costly folder rebuild.

The new stitchers will be demonstrated at Tolerans stand C42 in hall 15 at drupa.

Tolerans new wire system – Tolerans DrumTop
Tolerans is introducing a new wire feeding system for 250 kg wire drums. The new system is specially made for the Speedliner in-line stitchers, but can also be adapted to operate with the previous stitcher generations.

The advantages with the new wire feed system are:
• The wire can be located further away from the stitcher; even as far away as the reel stands. The remote location capability alleviates the need to lift spools to stitcher level.
• The bigger size of the wire drums means less spool changes, which saves money and time for the user.

The new wire system will be demonstrated at Tolerans stand C42 in hall 15 at drupa.

Motorised tabloid slitters
Benefits with the Tolerans slitters are:
• Shearing action produces a clean cut
• Creates less paper dust
• Improved web control
• Minimizes drag and the risk of web breaks

The new slitter systems will be demonstrated at Tolerans stand C42 in hall 15 at drupa 2008.
