Troop of females appointed to PIAA

The Printing Industries Association of Australia (PIAA) has recruited five new female employees to supplement its existing team across the country, responding to a high demand for Association member services.

Two additional workplace relations advisers have been added to the team, as well as three key roles associated with industry standards accreditation, education and training and finance.

Mari Takla has been appointed as workplace relations advisor for the PIAA, operating out of the Melbourne office. Takla will assume her position Monday next week.

Former NSW member services manager Rebecca Mason has been promoted to the role of industry standards manager, continuing to operate out of the Sydney office.

Mel Roper will take on a permanent role as compliance officer for industry registered traning organisation RTO Intech. Roper previously served as a casual employee and has agreed to join full-time as training activities within the PIAA ramp up.

Starting tomorrow, Rochelle Langeveld will take on the role of assistant accountant in the Sydney office after emigrating from South Africa.

Lastly, Jessica Harcourt will join the PIAA Perth office as a workplace relations adviser.

PIAA CEO Andrew Macaulay commented on the new recruits and says the surge of new positions is a reflection of the Association’s growing membership.

“The IR appointments are in response to strong member desire for industrial relations officers to be available in these states.” says Macaulay.

“The appointment of an industry standards officer reflects strong member demand for the Association to provide support in this space.”
