Two new hires for Fujifilm Sericol

A screen printer by trade, Harris has served as a sales and state manager at Agfa, as well as working for Letraset and Artistcare over the years. Stallbaum’s tenure in the printing industry has seen him spend sixteen years in technical sales of capital equipment, as well as a spell in the self-adhesive label industry.

Both Harris and Stallbaum touted the increasing importance of digital in an industry they have both been involved with for some time.

“For me, digital is the future,” said Harris. “We half-expected the total demise of film by the mid-2000s but that hasn’t happened, however large printers are moving to digital to cover their short-run printing. Besides my managing large accounts, another part of my role is in helping printers realise the benefits of going digital.”

“I see tremendous possibilities for companies to get themselves involved in wide format digital printing,” said Stallbaum. “For years that business has been screen-based, but the digital side complements it beautifully, and that includes offset printers and even pre-press design houses.”
