Union Offset wins Dept of Health contract

The department chose Union Offset, which is part of the Opus Print Group, following a request for quote through the Federal government’s print procurement program.

“Quotations received by the department were assessed for achieving the requirement (days required to complete the services) and whole of project costs (pricing) in its consideration of value for money,” the department told ProPrint.

The 84pp saddlestitched booklet will have a print run of 500,000 and be 195mm x 105mm. It will be printed with a four-colour process on 115gsm matt art, while the 8pp cover printed four-colour on 250gsm matt art.

The Understanding Childhood Immunisation booklet is distributed though hospitals, general practitioners, immunisation clinics, childcare centres and the Immunisation Infoline, as well as being distributed to new parents as an insert in their baby’s personal health record book.

Union Offset operates a fleet of Heidelberg Speedmasters and high-speed Océ digital presses from its site in Fyshwyck, which it shares with fellow Opus division CanPrint Communications.

Union Offset and CanPrint managing director David Daniel could not be reached by ProPrint.
