Sponsored by HP, Konica Minolta, Media Super and Ricoh, voting for the ProPrint Power 50 opens today and closes on November 2.

Printers can click on the link on the ProPrint website to make their choices, and up to five people can be nominated by each voter.

ProPrint editor Wayne Robinson says the Power 50 is the biggest event of the year.

“It gives everyone in print the opportunity to have their say on who they think is providing the real leadership for the industry it needs as it transitions into the new era,” he says.

The ProPrint Power 50 isn’t a vote for the biggest printer, but those that are the most influential or innovative.

It includes printers who are evolving their businesses, those who are bringing in new products and solutions, those who are developing new business propositions, and those who are finding new ways of winning.

The winner and the entire top 50 will be announced at a glittering harbourside event in Sydney on the evening of November 26.

ProPrint’s editorial team has compiled a shortlist of about 100 printers they believe are worthy of nomination, but printers can add their own nominations to the list as well.

Robinson says: “We all look to other people for ideas and inspiration. In these turbulent times, there are plenty of print industry professionals who are thinking hard and working hard to ensure their businesses stay relevant and profitable.

“We need them, and we can all learn from them. The ProPrint Power 50 is a recognition by the industry of these great people.”
