Vutek buying spree as customers splurge on EFI grand-format

EFI said partners DES and Spicers sold five grand-format printers from the cold-curing LED LX series, all to Melbourne firms.

DES sold a two-metre GS2000LX Pro to Bull DSP. Spicers sold two GS3250LX Pro printers to Landells Signs and one GS3250LX Pro each to Vivad and Visual Solutions Australia.

"Several MIS software agreements were signed during the show with printers from Australia and New Zealand, with many promising leads in the pipeline as a result of demonstrations during PacPrint," according to EFI.

"Increased awareness in the marketplace of the importance of MIS and productivity software meant there was a high level of interest in EFI’s range of MIS and web-to-print products, with many demonstrations booked prior to the show opening.

"Web-to-print solutions Digital StoreFront and OPS were among the most popular along with EFI’s browser-based Pace MIS software."

Regional manager Anthony Parnemann said PacPrint demonstrated the size of EFI’s presence in Australia and New Zealand and its commitment to the region.

Three senior EFI executives came to Australia especially for the show: worldwide inkjet marketing manager Ken Hanulec, software sales director Scott King and the senior vice-president of worldwide sales and marketing, Frank Mallozzi.
