Watermarx die-cutting innovation makes light work of embossing

Angela O’Dea from Watermarx told ProPrint that Clix Die Systems meant a company could use its existing die-cutting equipment to help keep embossing work in-house.

“Embossing is no longer a ‘black art’,” she said.

O’Dea claimed the Clix Dies are 60% cheaper than traditional metal dies, as well as being water-washout.

“The system is as easy as locking up a knife. Anyone that die-cuts should be able to do this,” she said.

She added that makereadies were “less than five minutes”.

Watermarx developed the system in-house and has been using the technology for a few years in its trade division Watermarx Graphics.

The system has already garnered industry acclaim by picking up an award at the inaugural Printovation awards last month.
