Westerbeek takes over for Amcor Flexibles AP

Amcor has appointed Roelof Westerbeek as its new president of Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific, succeeding Ralf Wunderlich who has served in the position for the last six years.

Westerbeek brings in a wealth of experience to the role, holding a number of leadership positions throughout his 27 year career, including his eight year stint as president of global business at DSM Engineering Plastics. DSM provides solutions and materials to the automotive, electronics and food packaging industries with a sales turnover of €1.3bn. Westerbeek will commence in the Singapore-based role on March 15, with current president Wunderlich leaving Amcor to pursue other career interests.

Amcor CEO Ron Delia has praised Wunderlich’s contribution to the business since 2010. During his leadership Flexibles Asia Pacific sales almost trebled from $450m to $1.2bn. Delia says, “His contribution to Amcor’s global management team during a very successful period in the company’s history has been considerable, and he will be missed. “I would like to thank Ralf for his dedication and leadership and wish him well for the future. Delia adds, “I am delighted to appoint Roelof Westerbeek as president Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific. His depth of experience will be a valuable asset to Amcor as he steps into his new role.”
