Workflowz opens Australian base for ‘InDesign for web’ tool Chili Publish

The Sydney CBD office will be dedicated to selling Chili Publish software, which is an online document editor that allows end users to design documents directly in the browser and integrates with web-to-print and MIS tools, such as Chili’s partner, Tharstern.

The office is scheduled to open in January 2013 and Workflowz is currently recruiting for one or two members of staff to man the operation. It represents the first Australian presence for the Belgian software provider.

Workflowz was established in March 2010 and was appointed sole UK and Ireland distributor for Chili Publish after it was founded shortly afterwards in May the same year.

Following high levels of interest at Drupa, Workflowz managing director Alan Dixon said the company had made its first few sales of the software into the Australian market within the last six months.

The first implementation went into Sydney-based printer Satellite Digital, part of Rawson Graphics.

Dixon said that the local representative would set up sales meetings, give demonstrations and provide training and frontline support for Chili Publish clients.

He added: “We anticipate an extremely lucrative market and within two years will expect to be level with what we are doing here for Chili and that will run into the hundreds of thousands.”

Chili Publish director Joeri Paelman said it had chosen Workflowz as its exclusive area distributor because they had worked together since “day one”.

He added: “Workflwz have a unique ability to understand business requirements and we support them to get the most out of Chili Publish.”
