A1 moves offset to digital with imagePress

Sherwan Zaman, manager, A1 Instant Printing says, “The Canon ImagePress quality is now allowing me to provide faster turnaround time for those previous short-run jobs which I would do offset. I can now do them digitally, not sacrificing image quality and keeping my customers happy.”

Zaman is a veteran of 25 years in the printing industry, and has owned A1 Instant Printing for 16 years, he purchased his first colour digital printer in 2001. He says, “I was looking for a more heavy duty production machine with good registration, colour management, a good booklet making finisher and of course a good deal. I wanted a colour production digital device which would allow me to shift my short-run offset work over to digital. After extensive testing, I could see that the print quality was to offset print quality, which was one of the draw-cards for me. Canon also  provides me with a stock of spare parts and onsite service if I have any problems with my printers.

Since the installment of the printer three months ago, Zaman has seen his work rise and an improvement in quality, and he expects his business to grow further.

Paul Thompson, general manager, production printing systems, Canon Australia says “We’re delighted to have Zaman and A1 Instant Print as a Canon customer and partner. We have seen many cases where the growth of short-run print, and therefore digital print, has meant older digital devices, or light production devices, quickly reach a point of compromised performance. The ImagePress is a heavy duty printer.”
