Agfa launches latest wide format press

According to Agfa, many automation enhancements make the Anapurna M2 the new trendsetter in the market of wide format UV inkjet printing.

The printer includes a vacuum strength control system designed for smooth substrate transport at high speeds. It also features shuttle safety sensors, which protect the print heads in case of variable substrate height, and an ionizing bar prevents electro-static loads on the substrate, ensuring optimum ink droplet positioning and therefore delivering the highest print quality, according to the company.

Agfa continues that the printer also handles roll-to-roll media as well as rigids, adding that media loading is made extremely straightforward with automated media registration bars and head height adjustment.

Willy Van Dromme, business line manager for wide format at Agfa Graphics says, “The Anapurna M2 is ideally suited for graphic screen printers, commercial printers, sign shops and photo labs that demand high quality.”

He continues, “It is built to be robust with industrial strength. It is the high throughput UV-ink printer of choice to fit for heavy workloads and peak performance with top quality.”

The printer has a maximum media width of 157cm and uses the latest Konica-Minolta 12 picoliter print heads offering image quality at 720 x 1440 dpi.
