Glenn Maynard, managing director of AGS says, “We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Allpoints; they are a terrific company and will enhance our current business perfectly, enabling us to offer a wider range of services to our customers.”
Commenting on the acquisition, Lindsay and Diane Banks, owners of Allpoints, say the merger is an ideal fit for the future of both companies. They add that the timing is perfect for both companies, as there is a need within the industry for a focused supplier to concentrate on a wide range of supplies and servicing options.
Heading the Sales and Marketing team at AGS, Ross Gilberthorpe says, “With Allpoints knowledge of consumables and sundry items and AGS’ technical servicing capabilities and new iCtp computer to plate systems our customers will be able to deal with a true professional all-round supplier dedicated to the printing industry.”
He continues, “It’s all about personal one on one service, AGS and Allpoints are renowned for this and I strongly believe in knowing who you are dealing with and not just being a number in the system. We will have a team of 11 technicians, 5 in the sales team and a support staff of 6 to service our customers.”
Gilberthorpe also says that there will be little change to the current way AGS does business. The staff at Allpoints will be joining the AGS team in order to eventually merge the two organisations together. AGS will officially take over the business on March 1.
