Anitech to show entry-level Durst hybrid at PacPrint

The sales agreement is the result of a partnership between Anitech and Durst's exclusive local agent, Photoelectronic Services (PES).

PES will continue to market the rest of the Durst range, but Anitech will be responsible for the Omega 1, which "sits better in our product range", said Mark Brown, Anitech's general manager of sales & marketing.

The Omega 1 can reach speeds of 18.8sqm per hour printing for up to six colours in high-quality mode, with speed reduced for backlits or when printing white.

It accepts media up to 2mm thick in roll-to-roll mode or up to 50mm thick when operating as a flatbed.

Brown said: "This will complement Anitech’s range of Seiko roll and Jetrix flatbed printers to provide a full and comprehensive range to the industry."

He told ProPrint that users could expect the kind of robust construction typical of Durst machines. "Durst is known for reliability and over-engineering their inkjet equipment; as well as quality and accurate dot placement."

The Omega 1 will be demonstrated at Anitech's PacPrint stand, along with its Seiko and Jetrix range of wide-format machines and Bordeaux’s environmentally friendly eco-solvent and mild-solvent ink series.
