AP & Prior Print liquidated

Large debts and continuous trading losses in a tough market has been the catalyst which pushed Sydney company AP & Prior Print into liquidation. Some 50 trade creditors, including paper merchant KW Doggett, are set to be out of pocket according to the appointed liquidator Geoffrey Davis at BCR Advisory.

All three staff at the business were terminated when liquidation began. There are conflicting reports about the likelihood of them receiving what is owed to them and their entitlements. Davis says Christianson did not elaborate on why the business collapsed beyond its sustained trading losses, but that downward pressure on prices and work moving offshore are issues. AP & Prior, based in Brookvale on Sydney’s northern beaches, printed offset brochures, magazines, presentation folders, posters, flyers, stationery and labels on a Komori Lithrone press. It also printed digital, wide format POS and banners, and offered finishing including cello glazing, creasing, and diecutting. Davis says what little kit is not financed will be sold at auction in the near future.
