APN retains NSW transit advertising contract

Richard Herring, CEO of APN Outdoor says GSP Print of Sydney will continue to run the printing of the contract. He says, “GSP Print has been doing a great job over the years and we are pleased that they will continue to do their best. It’s a huge deal for us and for GSP Print.”

Since 1987, APN has held the media rights for the NSW State Transit Authority advertising contract. It includes approximately 2,000 buses and provides coverage across Sydney.

Herring says, “We are delighted with the result. Winning the largest outdoor advertising contract in the country is a tremendous achievement and a strong endorsement of the calibre of APN Outdoor. There are a number of innovative new formats we plan to rollout and we look forward to continuing our relationship with the NSW State Transit Authority.”

APN beat four other outdoor advertising networks, including Bus Advertising Media, Moove Media, Ooh!Media Digital and S&J Media to win the 2,000 bus contract.

APN Outdoor won the contract after a tender process held in the first half of this year. It also won contracts with the South Australian government bus fleet and the Brisbane City Council bus fleet.
