Aurora Labs 3D signs binding contract with global company

West Australian manufacturer of the RMP-1 rapid 3D metal printer, Aurora Labs, has executed a $US250,000 binding service contract with global engineering company Gränges AB which it hopes will confirm the viability of future business opportunities.

The binding service contract for the non-recurring engineering research project will have a particular focus on aluminium alloys and additive manufacturing for the automotive sector.

It is expected to run for nine months.

Aurora Labs managing director David Budge says, “Executing a binding contract with high calibre partners such as Gränges AB is excellent validation of the potential of the RMP-1.

“This engineering project is the first step towards securing an RMP-1 presale agreement with Gränges and we look forward to an ongoing mutually beneficial relationship with them.”

Last month Aurora Labs announced it was in negotiations with a number of global companies from various sectors after attending the Formnext exhibition, the world’s leading additive manufacturing conference and exhibition which was held in Germany in November.

Aurora Labs Limited is an industrial technology and innovation company that specialises in the development of 3D metal printers, powders, digital parts and their associated intellectual property.

Aurora Labs is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: A3D).
