Aussie printers win HP Digital Print Awards

Perth-based Supa Stik won the Labels and Labelling category, whilst NSW printer RFID n Print won the Security Labels award. Chinese printer Tianjin Yinyitong Composing Printing picked up the overall Regional Grand Winner award.

The Awards were presented at the APJ HP Digital Print Awards gala dinner, which was held in conjunction with the InfoTrends Digital Printing Seminar and China Print 2009. This year’s Awards attracted more than 356 entries from across 13 countries.

“We developed the HP Digital Print awards to recognise the outstanding work of professionals who have made the switch to digital printing,” said VS Hariharan, vice-president of Graphic Arts Business, HP Imaging and Printing Group, Asia Pacific and Japan. “The dramatic increase in quality entries to our program is in direct correlation to the dramatic growth of digital printing.”

Winning entries were selected based on the degree of innovation and creativity, marketing appeal, best use of digital technology, paper selection, best use of ink and color, finishing and packaging, and overall aesthetics.
