Australian Paper releases carbon neutral book paper

Made in Australia, ENVI Book features the DCC’s Greenhouse Friendly Consumer Logo, which gives users the perfect PR and marketing point of difference that can be leveraged to promote their environmental action and build sales, according to Australian Paper

The company claims that ENVI Book is produced under environmental and manufacturing credentials including Chain of Custody forest certification, Environmental Management Standard (ISO 14001) and Quality Management Standard (ISO 9001).

According to Australian Paper, all fibre used in the production of ENVI Book is sourced from accredited sustainable fibre suppliers. In addition, ENVI Book is a genuine Scope 3 Emission Reduction input that can be reported on to demonstrate an organisation’s commitment to reducing the impact of Climate Change.

Paul Allen, general manager marketing, Australian Paper says, “Australian Paper has undertaken an aggressive carbon reduction strategy resulting in a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions of over 33,000 tonnes each year.

He continues, “Now the company has taken another significant environmental step forward with ENVI Book, Australia’s first Government accredited whole of life carbon neutral Book Publishing paper. ENVI Book is an additional way for us to demonstrate our commitment to the environment and enables us to deliver to our customers an opportunity to help in the fight against global warming.”
