Australians win big at Worldstar Awards

Five Australian companies are now recognised as among the best the world, as their packaging design work took top spots at the WorldStar Packaging Awards.

The winners include Woolpack Australia, SPC Ardmona for its work on an easy-open portion controlled fruit cup for SPC ProVital, Fresh Technologies Ltd & Sealed Air Food Care for Fressure and Cryovac Freshness Plus, Plantic Technologies for its Plantic R Packaging Material, Pact Group for its rPet Moisturelock Meat Tray and Chep Australia for Chep Retail Display Pallets (RDP) and Beverage Trays (BT) who between them took out eight award wins. Woolpack Australia in particular won three awards.

The awards follow on from the companies’ recent achievements at the Packaging & Processing Innovation (PIDA) Awards; the exclusive feeder program into the WorldStar Packaging Awards for Australia and New Zealand.

The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) says it expects 30 countries will be heading to Australia for the 2018 WorldStar Packaging Awards. which will be held alongside the PIDA Awards. The event is be in conjunction with the two day AIP National Conference at the beginning of May.

PIDA Awards are currently accepting submissions for next year.
