Judges commented that the pioneering work in developing an integrated process for both tags and transponders was unique in both its application across the range of Mark Andy and Comco equipment and its level of productivity at the least capital intensive level.

Accepting the award on behalf of Mark Andy, vice president of sales & marketing, Greg Palm, says, “We are delighted that our work in the fast moving field of RFID has been recognised within the flexo industry. The Mark Andy entry highlighted the benefits of one inline machine and workflow that offers increased capacity, greater throughput, and enhanced profitability. Unique to Mark Andy, is the ability to accommodate two transponders in one pass.

Mark Andy claims that its solution meets the demands for handling both tags and transponders, accommodates both reading and writing technology, and exhibits an understanding of antenna and radio wave technology. The system encompasses quality and damage control, precision transponder placement, and an awareness and compliance with RFID global regulations.
