Barnes and Strachan leave Fujifilm

Restructuring at industry supplier Fujifilm has claimed the Graphics Systems general manager Lindsay Barnes and his business manager Troy Strachan.

The company is now recruiting for a new divisional manager for the Graphics Systems business. In the interim well-known industry veteran and long-time Fujifilm Australia print and graphics expert Warren Hinder has stepped into the role.

Barnes took the role in November 2013, replacing Sturt Eastwood, and joined from Heidelberg, where he had been since 1995.

Fujifilm Australia COO Dave Marshall says, “The Australian print and graphics industry has always been a major focus for Fujifilm, and as such we are always looking for ways to better serve our customers and drive the business forward. The next stage of this process involves us restructuring our Australian sales and marketing team, and bringing exciting new technologies and products including the much-heralded Fujifilm Uvistar Hybrid 320 super wide format printer to market in the near future.”

Marshall continued, “It is an exciting time for Fujifilm Australia’s Graphic Systems division as we push a far more proactive and hands-on approach to the business’ management. There are clear growth objectives, the first and most critical of which is to become an even more customer focused organisation in order that we better meet the needs of an ever-changing industry.

“Fujifilm is currently recruiting for a new divisional manager for the Graphic Systems division whose task is not just to improve the performance of the division for our customers but also to significantly improve the management of supply and logistics within our Australian operation.”
