Bumper results for Signwave

Sign and graphics franchise Signwave is planning further national expansion on the back of surging sales in the September quarter.

According to Signwave Australia half of its franchise centres increased sales by ten per cent, and four have improved by more than forty per cent over the same period last year.

Signwave Australia general manager Linda Sultmann says there is a ‘continuing momentum’ in the business sparked by a confidence in the visual communications industry.

“Some of our centres are doing extremely well, and others are following suit,” she says.

“This has been the second calendar year since the takeover, and we strategically planned the first couple of years to address performance issues.”

Sultmann also told ProPrint next year the business intends to continue network growth, and plan to expand and improve the existing 17 Australian centres.

“We sold a few underperforming centres and expect to open two or three centres in Australia next year.”

“There are obvious gaps in the national network such as Brisbane and Perth, so we plan to put centres there and in the Sydney and Melbourne metro areas,” she says.

The owners Linda Sultman, Leo Baker and Dean Rowland bought the company at the beginning of 2014, and say the success is partly due to a shift to service and solutions focus.
