Business as usual at DS Chemport

Operations continued despite the fact that neither premises nor equipment could be salvaged after the fire.

Fast and decisive action by DSC management and staff meant that within two days of the fire, deliveries and logistics were back on track.

“We would like, however, to acknowledge the fantastic support we have received from the major newspapers and commercial print groups,” says Ken Rendell, commercial director.

“Leave nothing to chance” has been one of the mottos of DSC under the guidance of CEO, Graham McKenzie and on this occasion in particular, well laid plans have paid off for the respected consumables manufacturer.

Until a decision is made with regard to new facilities, DSC is continuing production of all but UV inks in rented facilities. The UV operation has been moved to Sericol, a sister company in the Fuji group.

DSC’s interim facilities are very close to the previous premises, minimising inconvenience for staff and thereby guaranteeing continued quality and service.

Says McKenzie, “It really is business as usual at DS Chemport. We are further well supported by our overseas group of companies for speciality raw materials and ongoing product and development work.”
