Cactus Imaging wins notable mention for Rocketman

Sydney’s Cactus Imaging has won an honourable mention for its Rocketman campaign for Paramount Pictures in the latest round of the Outdoor Media Association’s Creative Collection competition.

The Outdoor Media Association launched the Creative Collection competition in 2013 to recognise the outdoor advertising campaigns that really packed some punch across Australia.

With digital billboards now accounting for 54 per cent of revenue, reflecting a 42.7 per cent increase from 2013, the competition was revised this quarter to more accurately reflect this new environment with all campaigns judged across four categories.

The categories including Big, Bold and Bright; Best Use of Multi-Format; Best Use of Digital and Innovation in Out of Home.

In all 19 submissions were received for the second quarter from OMA members including  goa, JCDecaux, oOh!media, QMS Media, TorchMedia and media agency Havas Media Australia.

Cactus Imaging, owned by oOh!media, received an honourable mention for its Rocketman campaign while the LEGO masters series won the category.

The campaign for Wonder Park, for Paramount Pictures, won Best of Use of Multi-Format while Best Use of Digital went to the Now Playing campaign for Austereo.

The Innovation Out of home winner was Your Midweek Lift for Tourism North East, printed by Grand Print Services using media agency Cole Media.

“The winning campaigns prove that OOH continues to reach new levels of imagination and creativity. Through thinking ‘outside the box’, OOH has the power to create an interactive experience that immerses audiences in a way that other media channels can only dream of,” Aaron Mortan, sales director, at TorchMedia and one of the judges of the competition said.
