Canon appoints deputy MD and COO

Canon says this newly created position signals the start of a new phase in the company’s transformation, which started in late 2007, toward a more customer and channel focused business model. The current work also reflects an aggressive market strategy for growth by harnessing Canon’s range of technology solutions.

According to Corder, there are growth opportunities in the market, despite the economic climate, and Canon is looking to maximise the power of its combined offerings to take advantage of them.

He says, “Now is not the time to be sitting still. Riding on the back of record sales in November and December last year, we’re in a very strong position for this next phase of our transformation program.”

Corder continues, “These changes will bring greater cohesion to our business and a more effective customer oriented channel-to-market approach, which will make a very positive difference to the way that our customers engage with us.”
