Canon launches trio of ImagePrograf wide-format printers

The manufacturer has launched the 609mm ImagePrograf iPF6350 and iPF6300 and the 1,117mm iPF8300, all of which feature Canon’s 12-colour Lucia Ex pigment ink system.

According to Canon, the new models increase the colour gamut by up to 20% on previous models such as the iPF5100 and iPF6100. All models can print up to a maximum resolution of 2,400 x 1,200 dpi.

Troy Neighbour, product specialist for LFP at Canon Australia, said: “In the past four years, Canon has demonstrated its commitment to the LFP market by introducing more than 20 ImageProfraf large-format printers with each new model raising the bar for outstanding image quality and overall versatility.

“The latest models deliver the broadest colour gamut on the market and produce high-quality consistent prints helping professional print users meet the demands of their customers without the need to invest in new workflows,” he added.

The machines will be available in Australia from 23 April 2010. Local prices were unavailable at time of writing.
