Wayne McIntyre CEO of Celmac has been honoured with the prestigious Industry Achievement Award at the 2025 ProPrint Awards, recognising his contributions to the printing industry over a remarkable career spanning more than 40 years.
The Industry Achievement Award celebrates an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience who has made a significant and lasting impact beyond the scope of their own business.
McIntyre was selected for the honour by the Top 10 of the 2024 ProPrint Award’s Printer 50 and this year’s Platinum sponsor, Durst Oceania.
McIntyre was chosen from a group of esteemed finalists, including Ben Browning, co-director at 1800 Projects; Ewen Donaldson, founder of Vivad; Lindsay Thorne, operations/production director at Magnum Signs; and Zaidee Jackson, national business development manager for sustainable packaging at Ball & Doggett.
“It gives me great satisfaction to accept this award on behalf of my staff and everyone we’ve worked with over the past 30-odd years – we share this honour with them,” he said.
“The industry we have today is the result of collective effort from all sides, and we must continue to grow it by bringing in young people and making it even bigger and better for everyone involved.”
McIntyre founded Celmac in 1987 and has since led the company to become a major force in Australia’s signage and wide format printing industry.
Today, Celmac operates across three states as a leading importer, marketer, and wholesaler of top-tier brands in printers, software, cutters, and laminators.
Under McIntyre’s leadership, the company has built a strong reputation for technical expertise, reliability, and service.
