China show continues to grow

The first-ever All in Print China was held in October last year and attracted 480 exhibitors and more than 50,000 visitors. The next show will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from June 14-17, 2006.

Tony Fung, Messe Düsseldorf China managing director, announced at drupa that All In Print China 2006 had already gained support from key players in the printing world, including MAN Roland, KBA, Komori, Heidelberg and Mitsubishi.

The 2006 event will be held in an expanded space, covering five halls, rather than the 3.5 that were used in 2003. Gross space will cover 55,000sq/m and organisers expect 680 exhibitors and some 65,000 visitors.

The sheer scale of the Chinese printing industry was outlined by president of the China Academy of Printing Technology Shen Haixiang. He said that by the end of November 2003, there were 163,600 printing and graphic arts enterprises in China, including 92,400 print shops and 71,200 reprographics houses.
