CMYKhub buys Ryobi 928 at PacPrint

Chris Waters, co-owner and state manager of CMYKhub NSW says, “The Ryobi 928 gives us additional firepower, and the ability for one pass printing suits our business model. We chose Ryobi as it is an easy fit with our five colour Ryobi press, and the A1 format prints more than 95 per cent of our work.” Waters also pointed to the low running costs of the press, whihc will be installed in September.

The Ryobi 928 was one of only two offset presses at PacPrint, tho other was a Ryobi 525, and
have both been sold  by Cyber, the 525 snapped up by an un-named printer yesterday.

Bernard Cheong, managing director of
Cyber Australia says, “We have been thrilled with the response from
the PacPrint visitors, all our demos have been full, we have a heap
of leads to follow up, and now both presses on the booth have been
ordered.”

Cheong says, “We trusted our
instincts in deciding to exhibit offset presses at PacPrint, and we
have had many, many thankyous from the printers for bringing  offsetpresses
here.”

Cyber was also highlighting its Amsky
CTP unit which Cheong says will produce plates for its Ryobi 525 for
as little as $1 a pop. He says, “Printers who are thinking of
buying digital presses should be looking at the Ryobi 5252 with Amsky
platemaking, makeready is fast, plates inexpensive, and you have
offset quality and speed.”
