CMYKHub ups presence in NSW with $4m Sydney facility

The new facility in Silverwater will be equipped with an A1 five-colour Ryobi 925 with coater, a four-colour Heidelberg Anicolor with coater and a range of finishing and prepress equipment.

Clive Denholm, founder of CMYKHub says the new Sydney operation will give local printers more options when responding to customer demand.

He says, “Printing is a competitive market and our new facility can give printers the ability to compete even if they don’t have the same equipment as some of the bigger guys. It sometimes makes more sense for a printer to use equipment in a hub rather than replace their old machines.”

Denholm continues, “By utilising our equipment, printers have costs when they have the work but when they don’t there are no overheads, you are only paying for production when you have something to print.”

Following the facilities kick-start in April, CMYKhub will be holding a number of open houses for local printers to come and view the company’s equipment and printing processes and systems such as its on-line quoting system.

Following the set up of the Sydney operation, Denholm says the next move for CMYKHub will be to continue north and start-up up a similar facility for the Queensland market.

He says, “You have to go forward otherwise you are moving backwards. I have spent 20 years in hub type concepts and I know that when you learn to do something well you should keep doing it so that is what we are going to do.”
