Colour Graphic closes with auction sale

All its equipment is being auctioned by
Grays Online Auctions with final bidding day tomorrow (Tuesday), including a
virtually new HP Scitex SL 1500 printer, a 2002 Scitex PressJet ll six-colour,
a range of HP DesignJet and Roland wide format printers, a Sun Java Platform, a
Miller Weldmaster Welder/cross seamer, together with various finishing
equipment including laminators, dryers, Mimaki cutter/plotter, and a range of
Apple Macs and PCs, IT, phone and office equipment.

Colour Graphic was established more than 30
years ago by industry pioneer KenRobertson as a trade house for screenprinters
producing posters for the outdoor advertising, and grew to the extent that at
one point virtually all prepress for posters passed through its shop.

It went on to become a leading player in the
emerging wide format printing infustry, pioneering many innovations. It was the
first company in the country to install a five metre digital printer, and has
won a host of awards in its time.

The company has been owned by David Osbourne
for the last 15 years. Reports cite increased competition, lowering prices,
increased costs and the loss of senior management figures earlier this year as
reasons for the closure. Liquidator PPB tried to sell the business as a going
concern, but with no success.
