Complete Colour installs iGen4

Geoff Lawyer, managing director, Complete Colour says, “The matte dry ink option provides an offset look and feel for the finished product. Combine this with our Oris colour management and we can produce client’s applications to the Fogra 39 of ISO 12647-8 standard, and this complements our offset colour management capabilities.”

Lawyer says, “The test results we produced when conducting due diligence were exceptional. The flatness of the prints was similar to what we know from our offset business.”

The productivity, image quality and range of substrates played an important part in Lawyer opting for the iGen4 XL. The three factors that got it over the line were the environmental credentials, XL sheet size, and the inline booklet maker which provides automation for finishing.

“We considered the Colour 800 Press along with two competitive platforms. Productivity, monthly duty cycles, inline finishing and substrate flexibility all ranked highest with the iGen4XL. It’s digital so the proof is the final product. Its finished result is on par with industry standard offset printing. Most importantly our customers are satisfied with the finished results.”

The iGen4 XL prints on substrates up to 350gsm on a sheet size of 364x660mm allowing tri-fold 6pp A4 brochures. Featuring and inline booklet maker, it is suited for on-demand saddle stitched booklets from A5 to A4 with full bleed.
