Deadline for PICAs extended to 21 March

Entries for the Print Industry Creativity Awards (PICAs) have started to flow in but, with numerous requests already received for more time, the organisers of the event have extended the entry deadline until 21 March.

The extension, which PVCA President Peter Clark stressed is a ‘one off’, will allow some companies that are preparing multiple entries to carefully check all their job samples and get them ready to submit.

The association is also hoping that the extra time will spur companies who have not yet started preparations into action.

“We know of a number of companies who are planning to enter into multiple categories were struggling to find time to get everything ready by the end of this month, so the extra time will allow them to submit all their best work rather than have to cherry pick,” Clark said.

“Other companies who may have put entry into the ‘too hard’ basket due to the tight timeframe are encouraged to use the extension to jump online, fill out the entry forms, and to locate and prepare examples of their work for judging.”

There are 32 categories in this year’s awards, providing an opportunity for printed products to be recognised.

“Nominations are also being extended for the special recognition awards for individuals and businesses, so I’d really encourage people to nominate the people and organisations they respect and admire for these prestigious awards,” Clark added.

Entries to the Awards can be made by going to https://bit.ly/PrintAwardsAU and filling out an entry form.

Entries close at 5pm on 21 March, with judging to be held in early April ahead of PICA presentations in April and May.

The 39th National Print Awards will be held on 30 June in Melbourne during the PacPrint expo.
