DES launches EFI Vutek GS3200

Russell Cavenagh, sales director at DES says, “The GS3200 has already been snapped up by four printers, a remarkable achievement and testament to its production power and quality.”

That production power goes all the way up to a scorching 223sqm an hour. Cavenagh says, “The GS3200 is for wide for printers who anticipate a volume demand and who need a machine that will perform and produce.”

Manufactured in the US the hybrid system has according to Cavenagh fast switching between roll to roll and flatbed, and it comes with a white ink. Cavenagh says it will appeal equally to offset printers moving into wide format and to established wide format businesses.

Its flatbed functionality and UV inks mean it will print on a range of media including glass, metal, wood, aluminium and composits, in fact virtually anything up to 25mm thick can be put through the GS3200.

The optional Media Master fully automated media loading system provides efficient production with minimal operator input.   DES was also highlighting its packaging proofing solutions form EFI and CGS, and was selling new Pantone swatches from the stand.
