Ian Clare, managing director of DES accepted the awards at a ceremony during the EFI conference in Shanghai.

Commenting on the wide format award, Clare says, “This was a fantastic result and a testament to the professionalism and skills behind our sales team.”

In 2010 DES became number two in sales behind Chinese distributor, Fortuna. But DES sales of VUTEk flatbed printers in Q1 2011 have put us ahead of their global and local competitors with the sale of a VUTEk GS3200 in each month of the quarter.

Meanwhile, DES was also awarded for its achievement as the number one vendor of the Colorproof and Fiery software in the region.

Clare says, “Winning this award has recognised DES as a leading Australian provider of RIPs and colour management solutions for the ANZ proofing and production markets.”

DES says the recent achievements recognises them as a preferred Australian distributor of EFI’s digital imaging solutions.
